Chapter 4-Mobile and Mobile Apps

 

One of the great things about working in Wix.com is how simple it is to create a mobile friendly site.  With just one click, the Optimized Mobile View will automatically take your Wix site and create an optimized view for smartphones.

 

One issue for the mobile site is that Wix does not have a way to download your site as an app.  This is where Appsbar.com comes in. 

 

Appsbar is your free mobile app builder.  Apps have become the must-have tech accessory for many people, and a core part of forward-looking business marketing plans. However, not many people or small businesses have the know-how or means to create highly functional and individualized apps. An Appsbar application can be made for any operating systems such as Android, Apple, Black Berry and Windows.

 

The appsbar app is simple to create and can link to your Wix.com site.  Although it creates a two step process(the user will click on your app and then click on the link to your site), it is totally free and simple to use. 

 

Once the app is complete, you upload it to Appsbar’s, Appcatch Market, where your users can download your app for free.
