Tips for Filming with a Cellphone:
Although it would be great if you purchase and download the Filmic Pro App($14) to your cellphone, it is not mandatory. Below some advice and some videos that you might want to watch before you begin filming for Campus Reboot.

-
Prior to filming anything, prepare your ideas and where you want to shoot it.
-
Decide on your location and consider problems (weather, lighting) and sound
-
Think about the background - be aware of what is behind you
-
Lighting- be sure that windows with light coming through or lighting, are behind the camera and you are facing the window/light.Use any available lighting around your house(lamps and such) to help your shot.

-
Clean your camera lens prior to shooting. Take the time to set up your shot properly for the best visual-do not place your camera low or high- eye level is best
-
Remember to hold the camera horizontally.

-
You could consider getting a cellphone tripod- cost around $15 on Amazon
-
Check your camera settings before filming- Enable airplane mode so you don’t get messages while filming
-
Do test shots before filming

Sound- Bad sound will destroy a good video. Ensure that you are in a quiet room with no disturbance and stay very close to your phone. If this is something you will do all semester it might make sense to invest in a cellphone mic- less than $20, but not necessary if you are in a quiet place and stay close to your phone.
