Why is this project important?
We are living in unprecedented times. This project will ask you to remember the defining people, places, and moments in your life as you prepare for the future. The corona virus pandemic will most certainly be a defining moment for all of us.

Future generations will want to look back at your videos and stories to understand your real, raw, personal experience. Social media is here today, gone tomorrow. But your --your own unique experience--will be a treasure not only for you, but for generations to come.

As Jennifer Haney Stair says, “Right now, while it seems like our world has stopped, we need to cronicle these events. This is your generation’s defining moment. For you, there will be the World Before COVID-19, and the World After COVID-19. Someday your kids, and your grandkids, will want to know what it was like to live through this moment. Not just what the media reported but what it was REALLY LIKE.

As Herbert Braun, a history professor says, “There is so much that all of us and each of us are experiencing that is shocking, unexpected, unpredictable, unknowable, new, much that we have not felt before and seen. Keep a record of your life in these unprecedented days. Jot things down, a few words here and there but then compose your reflection into a video and share it with the world.
When you read an article or video that you find, include a link on our Facebook page and write a few sentence about it.
What you say will be a record of our times. Think about your children, grandchildren, your friends down the road, who will ask you what it was like during this pandemic. When you think about the individual in this pandemic, think about yourself and you can write about yourself, think and write about other individuals, and about your relationships to others, to your community, to society.”
